O boxe olímpico feminino como expressão de igualdade, e a proibição das touradas

O politicamente correcto considera que o boxe feminino é sinónimo de igualdade em relação ao homem. Na Suécia, o boxe masculino foi proibido até 2007, ano em que uma mulher se tornou campeã da Europa da modalidade: a partir daí, a Suécia legalizou o boxe; bastou que uma mulher sueca se tornasse campeã da Europa de boxe para que a modalidade se tornasse, na Suécia, numa coisa boa.

Even though in amateur boxing the violence is semi-ritualised because of the protective gear and strict rules, it is a strange ritual indeed for women in an era when male violence against them remains a huge issue, and smacking a child in some countries is a crime. Ao mesmo tempo que o politicamente correcto — a esquerda — considera que o boxe feminino é coisa muito boa, quer proibir as touradas. O que está em causa é a total inversão de valores e de tabus.
